Ceramic Membrane Filtration Equipment Product Introduction

Ceramic membrane filtration equipment is an inorganic membrane separation device that uses inorganic ceramic materials (alumina, zirconia, silicon carbide, etc.) as the membrane material. Compared with organic membranes, it offers outstanding advantages such as high temperature resistance, acid and alkali resistance, resistance to microbial erosion, high mechanical strength, and long service life, making it an ideal alternative to organic membranes under special operating conditions. Jing'anlan ceramic membrane equipment covers microfiltration and ultrafiltration precision levels, and can be widely used in special material separation and highly corrosive wastewater treatment scenarios in the chemical, food, pharmaceutical, new energy, and other industries, maintaining long-term stable operation even under harsh conditions.

Working Principle

The ceramic membrane uses porous ceramic as the support body, with a membrane separation layer of different precision coated on the surface. Driven by pressure, the feed liquid flows through the inner wall of the membrane tube; small molecule substances pass through the membrane pores to become permeate, while macromolecules, particles, suspended solids, etc. are retained on the concentrate side, achieving separation, concentration, and purification of materials. The inorganic ceramic material has extremely strong chemical stability and can operate stably in strong acid, strong alkali, and high-temperature environments. It can undergo high-intensity chemical cleaning and high-temperature sterilization to fully restore membrane flux.

Core Technical Advantages

  1. Excellent chemical stability, resistant to harsh operating conditions. Resistant to strong acids, strong alkalis, and strong oxidants, with a pH tolerance range of up to 0~14; it can withstand high-temperature operation above 100°C and high-temperature steam sterilization, fully adapting to the high-temperature, highly corrosive feed liquid treatment needs of the chemical, food, pharmaceutical, and other industries, and is the preferred solution for conditions where organic membranes cannot be applied.

  2. High mechanical strength, long service life. The inorganic ceramic material has high hardness and good wear resistance, is not easily damaged or deformed, and can withstand relatively high pressure impact and particle friction; under normal operating conditions, the service life of membrane elements can reach 5~10 years, far longer than organic membrane elements, resulting in better overall cost over long-term use.

  3. Excellent anti-fouling performance, thorough cleaning and regeneration. The ceramic membrane surface has good hydrophilicity, making it difficult for pollutants to adhere; high-intensity cleaning with strong acids, strong alkalis, and strong oxidants can be used, as well as high-temperature cleaning. After cleaning, the flux recovery rate is close to 100%, flux decay during long-term operation is slow, and the maintenance cycle is long.

  4. Stable separation precision, no secondary pollution. The membrane pore size is uniform and controllable, the separation precision is stable, and there is no leaching or shedding of dissolved substances, so it will not cause secondary pollution to the feed liquid, fully meeting the hygiene and purity requirements of the food, pharmaceutical, new energy, and other industries.

Applicable Industries and Scenarios

  • Chemical industry: strong acid and alkali wastewater treatment, chemical feed liquid filtration and concentration, catalyst recovery

  • Food and beverage industry: juice clarification, tea beverage filtration, dairy concentration, fermentation broth separation, capable of high-temperature sterilization

  • Pharmaceutical and biological industry: traditional Chinese medicine extract purification, antibiotic filtration, biological fermentation broth separation, meeting sanitary-grade requirements

  • New energy industry: wastewater treatment for lithium battery cathode and anode material production, special wastewater treatment for the photovoltaic industry

  • High-concentration organic wastewater: pretreatment and advanced treatment of high-concentration wastewater from printing and dyeing, leather, coking and other industries

Selection Guide

Ceramic membrane equipment selection requires comprehensive consideration of feed liquid properties, treatment objectives, treatment capacity and operating conditions:

  • Membrane material: alumina material for conventional operating conditions; silicon carbide material for highly corrosive and high-wear conditions; zirconia material for sanitary-grade scenarios

  • Filtration precision: choose microfiltration grade (0.05~10μm) or ultrafiltration grade (1~50nm) according to the retention target

  • Module form: tubular ceramic membrane modules are conventionally selected, suitable for high-concentration, high-suspension feed liquids

  • System Configuration: Optional heat exchange system, high-pressure pump, online cleaning system, and automatic control system available on demand

Jing'anlan can provide small-scale trial verification and customized ceramic membrane system solutions based on user feed liquid characteristics and treatment requirements, ensuring process adaptability.
